Drum Lessons for Beginners
In your first beginner drum lesson you will learn how to read basic drum set notation and learn how to play your first drumbeat. After learning your first drumbeat you will understand the basics of playing a beat. From there you will learn 4 of the best drumbeats for beginners. Beats that are used in 1000’s of songs. And you’ll even learn your first drum fill. First playing it as snare drum fill and then playing it as a tom roll.
Intermediate Drum Lessons
In your intermediate drum lessons you will begin learning about playing with ghost notes. Ghost notes will immediately enhance the drumbeats that you already know how to play. From there you will learn about displacing the backbeat to add a different feel to your drumbeats. And you will begin to learn independence on the drums by using all 4 limbs to play a drumbeat.
Advanced Drum Lessons
Advanced drum lessons at The Xgroove takes your independence on the drums to the next level. We dive into drumming styles such as Samba and Baiao to begin learning about ostinatos and separating the limbs. From there you will begin playing rudiments over the ostinatos and around the drum set. Then you will learn about advanced double bass concepts taking your feet to another level.
